Kiwanis Club of San Jose

Kiwanis Club of San Jose proudly serves the Children and Community of San Jose, California since 1923

Hello, and welcome to the  Kiwanis Club of San Jose that meets on the 1sr & 3rd Mondays. We welcome individuals looking to “give back” to their community. Our service projects are diverse that you are able to pick and choose and know that you are making a “difference”.  Come check us out.

Kiwanians are volunteers improving the world through service to children and communities. Kiwanis members help shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, mentor the disadvantaged, and care for the sick. They develop youth as leaders, build playgrounds, raise funds for pediatric research, and much more.  When you give a child a chance to learn, experience, dream, and succeed, great things happen!

In the San Jose club, we are a fun-loving group of men and women who join together to help the children and elderly within our community. We sponsor student groups in local schools, participate in local San Jose community projects and raise money for philanthropic purposes.   Our membership ranges in age from the 20’s to the 80’s with the majority falling in the mid range; most are career professionals or happily retired individuals. Everyone pitches in at their own pace and throughout the year as we raise over $125,000 through fund raisers like Christmas in the Park, our Christmas tree lot, The Turnaround Scholarship Drive, and others.

There are many levels of participation.  We meet to hear interesting speakers and plan our projects.  Some members  just volunteer for our community service and fund raising projects.  Still others donate money for needy projects and join us for fun social events.
